Someone tweeted the other day about this nice web app, ClassDojo, and I think it might be a great tool for elementary school teachers.
This is what ClassDojo has to say about themselves:
ClassDojo is a classroom tool that helps teachers improve behavior in their classrooms quickly and easily. It also captures and generates data on behavior that teachers can share with parents and administrators. As a teacher, you can use it to motivate learners by awarding them points and students can unlock cooler and cooler monsters with these points. How nice is that. You know how little children are always collecting things and they all will love these awesome characters. If you have students in grades 7-9 who bring their Internet-enabled phones to class, they can get instant notification of the points you are awarding.
Better learning behaviors, smoother lessons and hassle-free data - and its free!
Additionally, you can track performance and share it with parents and school administrators.
